But IMO there is a small difference. Winning the CYGS involves winning all 4 slams the same season, not through 2 seasons. The guy who got the job done in 1 season should get more recognition than the guy doing it over 2 seasons. There are 3 ways players can qualify: 1) rank among the top 104 players who sign up for the Grand Slam; 2) win 3 rounds in the qualifying; and 3) receive a wild card.
